The Collins Bass for Cash is headed back to Kerr Lake for our 2nd tournament of the 2024 season. The event will take place on March 30 at the Flemingtown Boat Ramp in Henderson, NC.

Kerr Lake is widely known to be one of the best fisheries in the state during the springtime. Numbers of bass can be caught in a wide variety of ways. We’re excited to visit Kerr Lake and award our winners with a guaranteed $3,000 1st place prize!

Location: Kerr Lake

Fish Limit: 5 fish, all fish must be 14 inches or greater.

Tournament Registration Deadline

The deadline for tournament entry is Thursday, March 28 at noon. No entry fee payments are accepted in person on the morning of the tournament.

Off Limits – Please Read

The Collins Bass for Cash has official off-limits days for each of our events. For this tournament, the off-limits period will be from 1 hour after official sundown on Sunday, March 24 until 1 hour before sunrise on Friday, March 29. The official sunrise time on Friday is 7:03 am. During this off-limits period, you may not be on tournament waters for any reason. Anglers must be off the water on Friday 1 hour after official sunset.

Tournament Times

Our crew will be on-site at 5:00 am to handle onsite angler check-in for the event. All anglers must check in with our staff and receive a boat number slip before our tournament begins. Blast off will begin at safelight. We always blast our anglers off as early as possible to maximize fishing time. We anticipate blasting off for this event at approximately 7:00 am.

Onsite Angler Check-in: 5:00 am
Blast Off: Safe Light – Approximately 7:00 am
Weigh-in: 3:00 pm
Early Weigh-in: All anglers may begin weighing in at 1:30 pm if needed.

Tournament Blast Off

PLEASE READ – Live well checks will be performed before you launch your boat. After you launch your boat into the water, please clear the ramp so others may have ample space to launch as well. We ask all anglers to please stage in front of the launch ramp in the no-wake zone. We will call boat numbers from the dock. You are required to have on a life jacket and your kill switch attached. If you do not, we will not allow you to blast off. After your boat number is called, you may idle out of the no-wake zone and get on plane. See the below map for an illustration. Finally, be courteous at the boat ramp, dim your lights when launching your boat, and be safe.


Boat Numbers and Flights

During registration, teams are assigned boat numbers. We blast off boats in order based on these numbers. Every 25 boats will begin a new flight. The first flight is due back in at 3:00 and every proceeding flight after that is due back in 10 minutes later. Boat numbers are visible on the homepage of this website.

Fees and Costs

All fees and costs for this event MUST BE PAID ONLINE. No entry fee payments will be accepted in person during the event (No exceptions).

Entry Fee: $160-$180 (with big fish side pot) – Purchase Online
Membership Fee: $35 per angler (One-time fee) – Purchase Online

Truck/Trailer Parking

Anglers may park in the parking lot by the boat ramp and if the parking lot fills up, anglers may park on the side of the road that leads to the boat ramp. See the above image for illustration.

Payouts, Incentives, & Contingency Prizes

Payouts for this event are based on participation and will be announced before the blastoff. Based on 60 boats, we are guaranteeing $3,000 to our 1st-place winners in this tournament!

Our big fish sidepot will pay 2 places (1st big fish and second big fish). Anglers must sign up for the big fish option to be eligible to win.

View Angler Incentives

Points Championship

Points are awarded to anglers based on their final standings. Those points will be culminated throughout the season and at the end of the year we will crown our Team Points Champions with a cash prize. The final points standings will also determine who will compete in the 2024 Bassmaster Team Championship later this year. Additional details will be announced soon regarding the Bassmaster Team Championship.

Polygraphs

All anglers are subject to a Polygraph test.

Live Leaderboard & Live Streaming

During the weigh-in, anglers will be able to view their results and current standings on our Live Leaderboard. We will also be live-streaming the weigh-in on our Facebook/Instagram accounts so family and friends can watch online. Make sure you’re following us on our official Instagram and Facebook accounts.
