The Collins Bass for Cash is set to return with better payouts and more angler incentives in 2024. Our goal is to continue to expand our tournament trail, better serve our anglers, and provide a 1st class tournament experience. While our 2023 campaign was a success, we’re making a few changes next year to help better serve our anglers and to bring even bigger paybacks to our tournament winners and Collins Boating customers!

Entry Fees

We’re making a change to our 2024 entry fees. We asked for feedback from a small group of our anglers and the consensus was that most of our tournament anglers wanted to increase entry fees so we could have bigger payouts not just for the top finishers, but for all anglers who finish inside the Bass for Cash money line. We took that feedback and have made adjustments to our entry fees and paybacks going into 2024. They are as follows:

Tournament Entry: $160
Optional Big Fish Side Pot: $20
Membership Fee: $35 per angler (one-time fee)
New for 2024 – 10% Off Parts and Products at Collins Boat Dealership – All Collins Bass for Cash members are eligible to receive 10% off parts and products at the Collins Inc. dealership in Smithfield, NC.

Tournament Paybacks – $3,000 1st Place Guaranteed!

Yes, you read that right! We’re guaranteeing $3,000 to 1st place in next year’s tournaments! We’ve always wanted to reward our anglers as much as possible so we will be paying back 1 place for every 6 teams that compete in a tournament. The $3,000 guarantee is contingent on us having a 60+ boat field. Below is a sample payout for a 60-boat field and for an 80-boat field.

Big Fish Side Pot

New in 2024 will be our optional big fish side pot. This is a unique side pot as we will be paying out 2 tournament big fish prizes in 2024. This side pot is 100% payback and the winnings will be awarded to the teams that weigh in the 2 biggest bass at each tournament. The top tournament big fish prize will be awarded 60% of the side pot entries and the 2nd big fish prize will be awarded 40% of the side pot entries. If a single team weighs in the top 2 tournament big fish, then that team will win 100% of the side pot entries.

In order to be eligible for this prize anglers must purchase our optional $20 big fish side pot.

Contingency Prizes – New Boat Contingency Prizes in 2024

Returning in 2024 will be our White River Marine Boat Contingency prizes which will include Ranger Cup, Triton Gold, and Nitro Tournament Rewards. Anglers will be able to win up to $8,000 in incentive money if they meet all contingency rules.

In addition to our White River Marine Contingency prizes, the Collins Bass for Cash is proud to offer contingency programs for Skeeter Reel Money, Caymas Cash, Vexus Rev Rewards, and Phoenix First Flight in 2024 and beyond.

Our goal is to reward our anglers as much as possible and by providing all major boat contingency programs, we’re giving you as many opportunities as possible to win even more with the Collins Bass for Cash regardless of your boat brand.

Collins Bonus Bucks – Win Up to $1,000 Extra!

New for 2024 is our Collins Bonus Bucks program! This program was designed for Collins Boating customers only. If you’ve purchased a new Ranger, Triton, or Nitro bass boat from the Collins Boat Dealership you’re eligible for up to $1,000 in bonus bucks at each tournament you fish with the Collins Bass for Cash.

If the top-finishing team is competing in a new Ranger, Nitro, or Triton bass boat that was purchased from Collins Boating, then that team will be rewarded a $1,000 cash incentive directly from Collins Boating.

In addition to new boat customers, used boat customers are also eligible for this incentive. If you’ve purchased a used boat from Collins Boating and finish in 1st place in a Bass for Cash event, you’re eligible for an additional payout of $500.

Go All In! Tournament Registration Information

Registration for our tournaments will begin on December 4 at 8:00 pm. In 2024 we’ll be offering an “All In” tournament package. This means a team can make 1 purchase and be locked in for the entire 2024 tournament season (Excluding our Top Gun Event). Here is what you get by purchasing our “All In” option:

1. A Guaranteed Boat Number – you will obtain an early boat number and that boat number will remain the same all season long.
2. Tournament Entry Fee + Additional Big Fish Sidepot – You’re eligible for all of our payouts all season long including the Championship.
3. Championship Eligibility – You will be eligible to participate in our end-of-year Championship Tournament where our top prize is $20,000!
4. No Substitution Fees – If you need a sub for your team during the course of the season, you’ll pay no membership fees for that sub.

The deadline to purchase our “All In” option is February 20 at midnight.

Entry Fees and 50% Deposits

New in 2024, we will be allowing teams to make a 50% deposit for the All In option. Teams may make a payment of 50% of the All In cost on December 4 and pay the remainder of the balance by February 20. We’re allowing deposits to be made to make things financially easier on you as we’re headed into the holiday season.

The full cost of the 2024 All In option is $1,080. Please note a small credit card processing fee will be applied to each online order.

On-site Payments on Tournament Morning

There will be no on-site payments accepted on tournament morning. All entry fee payments are due by Thursday at 12:00 noon before the tournament.

Bassmaster Team Championship

We will once again be sending the top teams in our Points Standings to the Bassmaster Team Championship which will be held late 2024. Additional details regarding this will be made available at a later date.

Collins Bass for Cash Points Champions

After each event teams will be assigned points based on their finish. Those points will be accumulated throughout the year and the team that wins the official Collins Bass for Cash Points Championship will be rewarded a $1,000 cash prize and boat number 1 for the 2025 season.

Top Gun Tournament – Lake Gaston April 20, 2024

In 2024 we will only be having 1 Top Gun tournament and that will be held on Lake Gaston on April 20. This is an open tournament and all anglers are encouraged to participate. New for this year, there will be no membership fee required for this tournament. The entry fee for this event will be $400.

End-of-Year Championship Tournament

Our year will end in October with our 2-Day Championship Tournament. The event will take place on Friday and Saturday, October 25, and 26. You are required to participate in 4 of our 5 regular-season events to be eligible for this event. Anglers may have 1 buy-in tournament to meet eligibility requirements. Top Gun tournaments are not counted towards this qualification. Our top payout for this event will be $20,000! Our championship payouts are as follows:

Collins Youth Educational Series and NC Bassmaster High School Series

The Collins Bass for Cash will be partnering with the NC Bassmaster High School Series in 2024. Darrel Stephenson will be managing and directing the NC Bassmaster High School Eastern Division and the Collins Bass for Cash will be working directly with him to help support their youth tournaments. The NC Bassmaster High School Eastern Division will have the same schedule as the Collins Bass for Cash and their tournaments will operate similarly to how the Collins Youth Education Series has been operated in the past. We’ll have additional details regarding this transition soon.
