The Collins Bass for Cash is gearing up for another year of exciting bass tournaments. We can’t wait to get things started and look forward to serving the anglers of North Carolina for yet another year.

The Bass for Cash Tournament Trail is making some changes in 2023 that will help us better serve our anglers and bring even better paybacks to our anglers. All anglers should read this entire document so you’re aware of these changes.

Tournament Registration

Registration for our tournaments will begin on December 1 at 5:00 pm. Anglers will be able to purchase single event entries or pay for the full season at that time.

Entry Fees

All membership and tournament fees will remain the same for 2023. They are as follows:

Tournament Entry: $125
Optional Side Pot: $60 *
Membership Fee: $25 per angler (one-time fee)
Youth Tournament Entry: Free (No membership required)

* Please note that the side pot is required for our Boys and Girls tournament on Kerr Lake

Entry Deadlines – PLEASE READ

Beginning in 2023, all entry fee payments must be made the Wednesday night before the tournament. No cash payments will be accepted on tournament mornings. Entry fees and side pot payments must be made online. By requiring all anglers to pre-pay for our events, morning check-ins and tournament blast off will run much smoother. Our team can be dedicated to helping you launch your vessel, park your vehicle, and perform live well checks.

Boat Numbers

Boat numbers are assigned by order of registration. Boat numbers will be posted on the home page of this website well in advance of the tournament. When checking in for the tournament, you will receive a blast-off sheet with your official boat number.

Payouts

Payouts will remain the same for 2023. The Collins Bass for Cash will reward cash payouts for 1 out of every 7 teams competing in our events.

Adult Points Championship

The Adult Points Championship will return in 2023. The winners of the Collins Adult Point Championship will be rewarded with a $2,000 cash prize.

Youth Points Championship – PLEASE READ

We’re excited to announce that our Youth Points Championship will increase in 2023! In 2023 the Collins Bass for Cash Youth Points Champions will earn $1,500 each!

With the help of the Interstate Battery Scholarship Fund and the new Kolby Jones Memorial Fund, a total of $3,000 will be awarded to our Youth Points Champion Winners in 2023. Kolby Jones fished with the Collins Bass for Cash Youth Trail from a young age. He was very passionate about bass fishing and grew into a great angler after he moved from our Youth Division to our Adult Division. Sadly, Kolby passed away earlier in 2022 and his family established the Kolby Jones Memorial Fund. Their donation to our Youth Tournament Series will help us remember Kolby throughout the season.

UPDATE – NOVEMBER 12, 2022

Collins Pro Staff Member Neil Smith has stated he will add $500 to the Youth Points Championship making our total Youth Championship Payout $3,500!

Top Gun Tournaments

The Collins Bass for Cash will have 2 Top Gun events in 2023 with an entry fee of $400. Below is a payout example based on a 60-boat field:

1st: $15,000, 2nd: $3,000
3rd: $2,250, 4th: $1,000
5th: $750, 6th: $600
7th: $500, 8th: $400

2 Day Super Tournament

Our year will end in October with our 2-Day Super Tournament. Our final event of the year will feature a $20,000 1st-place prize! Anglers must be eligible to fish in this event. You are required to participate in 2 of our 4 regular-season events to be eligible. Top Gun tournaments are not counted towards this qualification.

Polygraphs

A polygraph test will be conducted at the conclusion of each weigh-in at random. All competing anglers are subject to a polygraph test.

Contingency Prizes

We’re proud to offer our anglers Triton Gold, Nitro Tournament Rewards, and Ranger Cup for all of our 2023 tournaments.

Other Updates

In 2023 the Collins Bass for Cash website will feature a “Live Leaderboard”. Our live leaderboard will be updated throughout our weigh-ins so anglers may track their finish online. This will help our anglers get instant results and see where you are in the standings. We’ll also be live streaming our weigh-ins on social media so family and friends can watch online. Live streaming is dependent on us having a stable wireless connection.
